Apprentice Line Worker I

Henderson Municipal Power & Light (HMP&L) is seeking an Apprentice Lineworker I.
Minimum requirements include: residency in Henderson County or relocation to Henderson
County; high school diploma or GED; certification by an APPA approved Lineworker Training
school; ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance; must pass a drug/alcohol
screen, physical exam, and background check upon conditional offer of employment; possess a
year of previous industry experience; possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) with no DUI convictions in the previous 5 years. Preferred requirements include:
certification as Kentucky Road Flagman; CPR certification; Safety and First Aid and AED
certification. Starting annual wage is contingent upon experience, and includes paid vacation,
sick leave, health benefits, and other benefits. Applications are available on-line at
www.hmpl.com. All applications must be completed and returned to the Human Resources
