Duties include gathering/verifying data, creating and maintaining maps, drawings, and records of the HMP&L electric utility system and preparing work orders. Minimum requirements include: high school diploma or GED and completion of a vocational/technical training program in drafting with emphasis in GIS mapping and software or degree in GIS or equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job; and a minimum of one year GIS experience. Requirements include: a valid driver’s license; residency within a defined distance from the Service Center Complex; must pass a drug/alcohol screen, physical exam, and background check upon conditional offer of employment; and no DUI convictions in the previous five years. Preferred requirements include: ESRI experience; experience in the utility industry; and computer literacy. Starting annual wage is contingent upon experience, and includes paid vacation, sick leave, health benefits, and other benefits. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the SCADA and Outage Management System (OMS) to ensure reliable operations of the electric utility system. This is an in-office, full-time, exempt position. Minimum requirements include: residency within a 30-minute response time from the Service Center Complex (1213 Barret Blvd, Henderson, KY); Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance; must pass a drug/alcohol screen, physical exam, and background check upon conditional offer of employment; possess a valid Driver’s License with no DUI convictions in the previous 5 years. Preferred requirements include: three to five years of experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming SCADA and OMS systems in an electric utility environment.
